Paving of Chichester Avenue

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has awarded a $2,757,7777 contract to Allan Myers LP of Worchester, Montgomery County, to repair and resurface 11.5 miles of state highway in Delaware County.  Construction is scheduled to begin late summer/ early fall.  Included in this contract is the resurfacing of Chichester Avenue between Route 452 (Market Street) and Concord Road in Bethel, Upper Chichester, and Lower Chichester Township.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT will mill the existing roadway surfaces and repave them with new asphalt.  The new pavements will seal the roadways and provide motorists with smoother riding surfaces.  Work on this project is expected to be completed in December 2018.

This pavement project is financed with 100 percent state funds.
